Down-beat and well written, with fine location photography, it was directed by Delmer Daves, with co-star Karl Malden taking over for a while when he became ill. Good central performances and a fascinating early role for George C Scott as a mad, wild-eyed preacher. Light and lively, pleasantly performed by Hemmings and players who enter into the spirit of thingsN Look out for 60s pop idol Jerry Lee Lewis in full blast. Lining sp for a fight to the death are the old established firm headed by Huntley and Fraser while, in the opposite corner of the funeral parlour are Dennis Price and Sue Lloyd and laughter and chaos are the result of this battle of the burial menN A splendid support of expert comedians including Richard Wattis, Roy Kinnear and Eric Barker add to the fun and look out for Michael Ripper, one of Hammer's most regular performers. more follows > TV Plus...220 ghat's On...230 ITV Today TV Guide What's On Adverts
