TSB Trustcard is the first off the mark raising its rate from the standard 1.75% per month to 1.9% from September. That's an annual rate of 25.3%. None of the card issuers felt obliged to follow the bank base rate when it went down - with the exception of Save & Prosper. But they are willing to follow it up. S&P's is likely to rise. Normal loans are for sums between £500 and £5,000 at between 19.6% and 20% a year. FlexAccount holders will get 1% off that rate provided: they've had the account plus cheque card for at least a month and their salaries are paid directly into the account.
