Solar geomagnetic activity is expected to increase sufficiently as the week proceeds to see a gradual decline in HF band conditions. Auroral conditions may occur on Apr 1st although it will not be as extensive as the one on March 5th The talk-in frequencies for the RSGB National VHF convention to be held at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey on Apr 11th will be 145.550MHz and 433.200MHz. P410 ORACLE 410 Sat 4 Apr ITV 2000:00  1/3   70cm repeaters, GB3NT Newcastle-upon Tyne and GB3FC Fylde coast, Lancs are temporarily off the air. GB3PH Portsdown Hill, Hants will be operational again on RB2 from Apr 5th. Special event stations to listen for this week include GB2FLS from the Fakeham Lancastrian School, Norfolk and GB2HES with the 1st Easthampstead Scout group, Bracknell, Berks. Due to the heavy workload on the RSGB during the IARU region 1 conference in Brighton which it is hosting at the end of April, RSGB hq will be closed from April 27th to May 2nd. P410 ORACLE 410 Sat 4 Apr ITV 2001:59  3/3   The RSGB Education Committee will be presenting the annual 'Amateur Radio Lectures' at the Science Museum in London on April 24th & 25th to give an introduction to the hobby to school groups and individuals. The brief talks will be illustrated with video film and there will be a number of equipment demonstrations as well as a display of simple and effective equipment for the beginner in radio.
