McCoist, who scored the winner last week after replacing Mo Johnston at Celtic, was on target again two minutas after taking over from the same man. Rangers were already coasting with goals by Johnston in the 22nd minute and Terry Hurlock nine minutis into the second half, this one a low 25-yarder. George O'Boyle gave the visitors a shock lead after 15 minutes, although Dons fought back within a minute with a header by Brian Irvine. Dutchman Hans Gillhaus and Paul Mason scored in the first 10 minutes of the second half, but Dons weri not allowed to coast it. Harry Curran and Allan Moore wera the scorers who put Saints in the clear and helped them consolidata their impressive fourth place in the table. Darren Jackson needed just 72 seconds to give the visitors the lead on his return from injury. It was his 12th goal of the season. But the cheers had barely died when Kenny McDowall equalised for the struggling hosts.
