Steve Williams drilled a shot against the post after 73 minutes and Quinn knocked in the rebound. Arsenal, who have now gone 17 games without defeat, started as if they would swamp injury-hit Saints who lost Colin Clarke after half-an-hour. Charlie Nicholas created three chances but Arsenal's finishing let them down before Quinn's winner delighted the 38,138 crowd. >>>>> Sport headlines 130 Football 140

Allen opened the scoring after 37 minutes but Keith Houchen's first of the season levelled things before Allen hit his second right on half-time. Two goals from Dave Bennett in three minutes just after the hour put Coventry in front. Nico Claesen looked to have earned the Londoners a draw with a goal five minutes from time before Regis's header sealed the match. >>>>> Sport headlines 130 Football 140

United were also left counting the cost of another injury to skipper Bryan Robson, who stretched for a ball with Drinkell and pulled a hamstring. Manager Alex Ferguson said the injury was a nightmare and Robson could be out for a month. The 46,610 crowd groaned as United tried in vain for an equaliser. It could have been worse as keeper Gary Walsh saved well from Wayne Biggins. >> Sport headlines 130 Football 140

Cottee then missed a chance before John Fashanu levelled from close range. Paul Hilton put West Ham back in front with his first goal of the season. A draw looked likely until Ronnie Whelan sent a through ball for Rush to chase. The striker's long legs enabled him to get a toe to the ball before goalkeeper Martin Hodge could get to him.
