Elsewhere in leaders, Blue Circle and Glaxo both climbed after cheerful meetings with brokers. Woolworth soared 21p as the market ran short of stock. Westland shed 10p after the grounding of helicopters. Results added 4p to Burton and 2p to Adam Leisure, but Amersham fell 2p on their figures. Newcomers Mebon closed with a 6p premium. P198 ORACLE 198 Tue22 Nov ITV 2010:01   CURRENCY REPORT  at Close  Profit-taking left the dollar easier against most currencies, though it was still underpinned by the Middle East situation. The pound ended at its best level, up three-quarters of a cent at $1.4735. However, the exchange index fell 0.1 to 83.5 after touching 83.4 at first. In Europe, sterling scored a useful gain over the mark but finished easier to the Swiss franc.
