But somewhere beneath the cheap Casio keyboards and schoolboy tales of drinking, "ho's" and genitalia, there's some Eminem-style anger and jibes. But potshots at Bush and corporate America - "slavery once again, now the dollar can equal the yen" - are all too few. Probably not the sort of Christmas record you'be be advised to put on as a backdrop to charades with granny. 3/10 ——————————————————————————————————1/15— by Kevin Irwin Get your daily Marjorie Orr horoscope sent to your mobile See p108 Charts Reissues GameCentral Total Ents

The year's most innovative album came in true DIY punk spirit when Jay-Z's Black Album was bootlegged with The Beatles White Album by Danger Mouse. London based duo Tetine are responsible for mixing these sweaty beats and do so in a true DIY techno spirit. The wild Latin flavour fails to disguise a darker undertone which reflects the poverty of the slums from where the music originates.
