I want to go on to higher things in education next year but am in a "catch 22" situation. To get on, I need more training. But I require a sponsor and work to —by off my debts. I can't find either. Please can you advise me what to do. The level of the grant is "topped-up" if you're a mature student with dependents, and you may apply for a student loan. But this will increase your debt, so would need careful consideration. ——————————————————————————————————2/4—— Course vacancy service 640 Mike will only reply on screen, so no SAEs, please. You could earn while you learn with some health service training. You should ask your local Job Centre and Health Care Trust what is on offer to help you get back to work. Ask about "Return to Nursing" courses which may be available. ——————————————————————————————————3/4—— Have you got a careers query? Ask locally if there are any unemployed cdlf- help groups in your community. Go along and get help. As an unemployed person, you should get a reduction in fees from your local college. Consider opportunities for learning through the Open College and University. ——————————————————————————————————4/4—— Have you got a careers query?
