Hans Schlappa, the Millennium Progr!mme manager at the National Urban Forestry Unit in the West Midlands, says: "We hope to create more than 1,000 acres of woodland and plant trees wh—re there is space and they are needed." Millennium Programme Manager Hans Schlappa says: "We will be planting trees in streets, gardens, near car parks, factories and on derelict land. The first tree will be planted on November 20, as part of a record breaking attempt.
