The authority's decision will need to be ratified by the Advertising Advisory Committee in September before advertisements can be shown. The IBA has said it has no plans to lift the ban for ITV and Channel Four Superchannel and the Financial Times are co-producing a five minute programme of business news headlines for Superchannel called The Financial Times Business Report. This follows a day of negotiations with BBC management at ACAS. The offer will be backdated to July 1st and will last 13 months. No further strikes will be held and unions meet this week to decide whether to ballot their members on acceptance of the offer.
