Since  then her drawings have enlivened fashion features in the likes of Vogue, Harpers and Queen, the Guardian, Times and Observer. "Recently I've moved away from fashion to music. I've been doing album covers (like Swing Out Sister) and drawing musicians." "When you are drawing someone, you sit with them for 2/3 hours, you warm to them and get to see their character. I was with Swing Out Sister for a week". All share a belief in the body beautiful, and show it in their own distinctive style. Bare Essentials is at the Alpine Art Club, South Audley St, London W1. "My models  are all shapes and sizes, it's  characters that come across".  This obviously affects the way she draws the bodies with clothes on in her fashion illustrations? "It's the body that's important, the shape should show through the clothes, after all, they are there to emphasise the figure, not hide it!" "In the end, I found fashion too limiting. "But most people have something about them which shows up, that's what I'm looking for, deviations from the norm, almost". "My favourites are jazz musicians. I've drawn a lot recently in New York and here, like saxophonist Courtney Pine, Chico Freeman and Billy Whitelaw.
