A package on prices for the 1985-86 farm year collapsed after West Germany refused to soften its opposition to cuts in cereal prices. Diplomats said the ministers would resume talks in Brussels on May 13. Britain's agriculture secretary Michael Jopling had been hoping to win a 5% cut in the price of cereals to trim the community's grain mountain. News headlines: ITV p101, Ch4 p401
