P207 CEEFAX 207 Sat 1 Apr 00:01/01       Health minister Mr David Mellor has criticised doctors for using too many brand-name drugs, as new figures show prescription costs hitting record highs A Department of Health report says the cost of prescriptions rose by eight per cent in real terms in 1986-7 to a total of £1,537 lillion. Mr Mellor said he expected GP's to pay more attention to their prescriptions in future with a view to saving money.
