P207 CEEFAX 207 Tue 15 Nov 20:01/00        The Soviet Union's first space shuttle, the Buran, has successfully completed its maiden voyage. The unmanned shuttle took off on schedule at 0300 GMT from the Baikonur space centre in Soviet Central Asia. After a flight lasting three hours, 25 minutes, the shuttle made a flawless touch-down on a concrete landing strip eight miles from where it took off. The Soviet authorities had said they would not undertake a manned shuttle flight until all the craft's systems were tested on an unmanned mission.
