Every house being built there now includes a fall-out shelter and there will be space for everyone by 1990. Interested British parties have recently been to Berne to be briefed by Swiss experts. One thing's certain - it's not just a case of sinking a pre- fabricated sitting room under the patio and stocking it with a generous supply of baked beans, sandbags and Vera Lynn records.  More in a moment 

Just a minutf, did you say weapons? Yes, he said, to shoot the neighbours when they try to gatfcrash the sheltfr on D-day.
