The knighthood for Geoff Hurst, whose hat-trick won the cup for England, has been hailed as a boost for Glenn Hoddle's squad, who play on Monday. The new Sir Geoff, who played for West Ham, said: "My wife opened the letter and passed it to me. It was a vjry tearful moment in the Hurst household." He has been president of the Surrey Care Trust, which runs drama and music classes for about 300 disabled young people in Godstone..
