P105 CEEFAX 105 Thu 23 Jun 20:04/58         General Motors of America, the world's biggest motor manufacturer, is to invest £70 million in Britain over the next three years. The money will be spent at the Bedford commercial vehicle plant in Luton. GM's vice-president in charge of buses and lorries, Mr Donald J Attwood, said more than £50 million would be spent on new van and assembly facilities and he expected the level of investment to rise to £70 million. Mr Attwood praised the "improvement" in UK labour relations and the "remarkable improvements" in quality of products.
