The motion was brought by the Likud and Tzomet parties in protest at a possible Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights in return for peace with Syria. The Likud leader, Binyamin Netanyahu, said surrender of the Golan Heights would increase the chance of an attack against Israel by Syria. Israel and Syria representatives are to hold peace talks in the US on Wednesday  Next News World Advent TV/Radio
