Around 8,000 out of the 20,000 homes first affected in northern Scotland still have no power after two days. Winds of over 100 miles an hour and snow drifts up to 10 feet deep have forced engineers to abandon repairs. But at least 100 more engineers will fly to the worst affected areas at first light tomorrow. CEEFAX WEATHER 400 and TRAVEL 500 Next News Home News Politics Weather
